Residential Roofing FAQ

Find essential information about home roofing solutions and material options for Central Kentucky homeowners.

What types of residential roofing materials do you offer?

We specialize in a variety of residential options including high-quality asphalt shingles and durable metal roofing systems tailored to Central Kentucky weather. Our metal roofing material comes from Mansea Metal of Winchester, KY. Shingles are sourced from QXO - Lexington and 84 Lumber - Georgetown.

How long will it take to install a new roof?

Depending on the size of your roof and the repairs that need to be made underneath the roof, most roofs can be completed within 1-2 days.

We've chosen you as our roofer, what happens on install day?

The morning of install, project managers are on site. Crew shows up with a dump trailer and puts down landscape protection material. Project management and crew will safely relocate furniture or other items that may be in danger of damage during tear-off. The crew will get onto the roof and begin tear-off. During tear-off, the project manager is closely supervising in order to assess any damage to decking or other underlying issues hidden beneath the roof covering. Once the roof is removed down to the decking, the crew on the ground continue to clean up while new material is loaded onto the roof. The roof install begins with the project manager on site to address any questions from the homeowner, run for materials (and lunch), and work with the crew if challenges arise. Once the roof is complete, the project manager and the homeowner do a final walkthrough around the home to be sure everyone is happy.

Storm Damage Restoration FAQ

Important guidance for Central Kentucky homeowners on handling wind or hail damage, filing insurance claims, and restoring your property after a severe storm.

How do I know if I have storm damage on my home?

Hail damage is often invisible from the ground. We provide free expert inspections to document impacts such as missing granules, bruised shingles, lifted shingles, creased shingles, and missing shingles that lead to long-term leaks.

For siding, look for holes in your siding, siding blown off completely or partially. For gutters, look for loose, dented, and missing gutters. For windows, you would want to keep an eye out for any leaks and cracks.

Can you help with my insurance claim?

Yes, Butler Roofing & Construction works directly with your insurance adjuster to ensure all wind and hail damage is properly documented and covered under your policy.

Gutter Repair & Installation FAQ

Find answers to common questions about gutter maintenance, seamless installations, and protecting your Central Kentucky home's foundation from water damage.

When should I replace my gutters instead of repairing them?

If you notice widespread rust, multiple leaks, or gutters pulling away from the house in several spots, a full replacement with seamless gutters is often the most cost-effective long-term solution for Kentucky homeowners.

What are the benefits of seamless gutters?

Seamless gutters minimize the risk of leaks since they only have joints at the corners. They are custom-fitted to your residence, providing a cleaner look and more efficient water drainage.

Do you install gutter guards for Central Kentucky homes?

Yes, we offer various gutter guard systems that prevent leaves and debris from clogging your gutters, significantly reducing the need for manual cleaning and preventing foundation overflow issues.
